Two Birds

Two birds of a feather,

Sitting on the branch of the tallest tree in town.
Though pretty much the same,
both desires for different things

One wants to gather all the riches in the world.
Nothing ever seems enough for this one.
While the other only wants to be loved and accepted.
No one ever understands this one.

Not knowing that they needed each other.
Both were to occupied with what they are after.
Neglected, drifted, apart the grew.
Not knowing what could have been.
